3 Happy Meals Please

I can already imagine myself placing orders at McDonald's in a few years time :P. With all other kiddie stuff in triplicate!!

But for now, it is best to just enjoy the moment. I know for sure I would miss my daughter when she grows up :(. I wish she would stay as she is now forever & none of us have to grow old - but that would be very selfish of me & very unfair to her. She needs a chance to grow into her own self & be her own person. You know, the usual - be the best that you can be & realize your potential kind of thing.

I am sure I would feel the same way in a few years time when the boys grow up to be toddlers & pre-schoolers. Wishing that they could be forever cute, adorable & innocent. But I can wait - for today, just let them be the 6 day old babies that they are :).

Home At Last

The first twin in ICU was discharged 2 days ago. Praise the Lord!! :D. His condition improved very quickly & could join his younger brother in the nursery.

Today, mummy & the 2 boys were discharged from the hospital (remind me to look out for health insurance after this -- the bill was *ouch*). They are all doing well & resting right now.

Will be doing some milk powder shopping after this :P. Hmm... that reminds me, I need to get a night job :(.

The Twins Were Born Last Night!!

Wife gave birth to the twins last night!! They were born at 11:08pm and 11:09pm on 5th September 2005.

They were at 35 weeks -- considered premature :(. The first twin is currently not doing too well as there is fluid in his lungs & is put on a machine to help him breathe. He needs to be closely monitored. As a preventive measure, the paediatrician is giving him a wide-spectrum antibiotic to tackle any potential infection. He looks so fragile and small :(. And it is not a pleasant sight to see tubes inserted into his mouth down into his stomach & a drip needle inserted into his tiny vein in his arm :(. His brother is faring much better & is put in the nursery along with ohter babies.

Their birth was unexpected at this point in time. But will write about that another time.
