Recent Visit to the Doctor

As we draw closer to the delivery date, we were very pleased that a recent visit to the doctor showed the 2 boys progressing well in terms of their growth. They looked like the twin fishes Pisces on the ultrasound scan :). The wife's health also seems to be doing well too -- no hypertension or diabetes.

At the same time, she is facing a rather difficult period in her pregnancy -- the final 1.5 months. Her water retention is getting worse (shoes getting tighter), tummy getting bigger (yes, the boys are still growing & she is running out of clothes -- again), she feels hot all the time and her tiredness is getting worse and worse :(.

A slight reprieve from all these uncomfortable situations is that she has stopped working. Her last day was 29th July 2005. She would be resting at home all the way till the scheduled delivery date. For the time being, we are planning the Caesarean to be on 18th or 19th September 2005.

New Home

We just shifted to a new place nearer to town & also with a much needed extra room. It was pretty much a 'snap' decision in the sense that we realized that when the twins come, there would be an increase of 4 headcounts to the household!! The maths are as follows:
  • 2 new born boys
  • 1 maid (who is here already, since some time towards end of June 2005)
  • 1 grandma (who will join us in 2006)
We are getting used to the new place now. It is very convenient in terms of location, but I miss the folks & community at my old parish :(.
